I love dogs - there is no question about it. I've always had a fascination with them ever since I was a baby. I can't ever remember not having a dog. As a kid I would even bark out of our station wagon window at other dogs...yup, that was me...I've always loved them...
This session was a perfect example as to why. Duke is only 16 months old, and though he has not completely filled out yet, he has a very powerful presence, not to mention a pretty intimidating bark! He was swift and blissfully happy as he ran across the sand and into the ocean. He reminded me of a gazelle as he leaped over the rocks - it seemed as if he barely even touched them. He was protective of his humans and even of me! At one point a man came around the corner close to where we were and Duke pressed his body against my legs and barked as if to let him know that he was there to protect us. It was pretty awesome. He was well behaved, sweet, obedient and so graceful and elegant. But most of all, you can tell what a loyal companion he is to his humans. And at the end of the day, that's what matters most...
This post is Part 1 of Duke's session. I will post Part 2 in a few days. Enjoy!
