Watching these two Great Danes and Ridgeback tear out of the car and run around the sand was pretty amazing. I caught myself feeling pretty vulnerable a few times as I crouched down on the sand and looked through my camera waiting to capture the perfect shot only to realize that I had two huge and fast Great Danes running right towards me. I was able to escape a collision by only a couple of seconds each time! Every few minutes they would stand up on the ridge and look over to the water, their ears flapping in the wind. Then, without notice, off they were again!
And to see the eldest of the group dig holes in the sand as if she were just a pup affirmed my belief that sometimes we just need to let loose. It's nice every once in a while to tear out of that car and barrel down the sandy coast as the sun begins to set. To feel the salty ocean breeze on our face is invigorating and somewhat freeing to the soul...
Thanks to The Girls, Brody, Kaden & Spencer, for letting your carefree, joyous personality shine through. It surely was contagious, and just what I needed!
