  
March is here...and so is Spring! We now have an extra hour of daylight and that makes me very happy! This means we can hold outdoor beach and park sessions for an additional hour each and every day! Another thing that has me smiling ear to ear is the fact that our website has finally been updated with lots of new images in our galleries. There are even two new galleries to browse through so head on over to our website and check out the changes!
Photography by Gabriela has lots of things planned for the next few months...we're so excited to share our new partnerships, upcoming events, contests, promotions and so much more in each month's newsletter.
As always, I want to thank my loyal and repeating clients, most of who have become friends. Just in time for Mother's Day! Photography by Gabriela will be offering a special Mommy & Me Mini Session event at Baby Vie! These mini sessions will focus on the special relationship between Mother & Child. This is also a fantastic opportunity for a mini Maternity Session. We all know how often moms aren't in photos because they're usually the ones behind the camera. This is the perfect opportunity to change that by allowing me the privilege to capture some tender moments between a mom and her babies. A Mommy & Me Mini Session is a wonderful Mother's Day gift for a fantastic Mom or for yourself! The 25 minute sessions are $99 and include a $50 print credit. Reservations must be made in advance. There is limited availability so please call to reserve your session time today! Mommy & Me Mini Sessions will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 between 10am and 2pm at Baby Vie, 10585 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego.
Our featured product this month are our Storyboards. Our Storyboards are 10x20 and can be comprised of 2 or 3 images. They can be designed to be horizontal or vertical. They come mounted on a matboard so you have the option to either frame it, place on a shelf and lean up against a wall, or display on an easel. Storyboards are a unique way to tell a story of the session. It is a beautiful way to keep a memory alive forever.
Our featured boutique this month is Baby Vie located off Scripps Poway Parkway in San Diego. Baby Vie and Photography by Gabriela are partnering on a few upcoming projects, one of them being the Mommy and Me Mini Sessions on April 9th. Baby Vie is loaded with tons of gorgeous things and you can usually hear plenty of "look at this how adorable" and "oh this is so cute" from the customers in the store.
Baby Vie is family owned and operated by the Swafford Family, a local San Diego family of ten. As Susan Swafford explains, "As the parents of eight children ourselves, many of whom you will probably meet in the store or recognize as our baby models, we have a special insight into a new parent's needs. With children ranging in age from toddler through seventeen, we've had over 18 years of continuous pregnancy and nursing experience to draw from. Our fantastic staff has been with us every step of the way, and now Vickie, Kathy, Rhea, Kelsey, our daughters Katie and Corynne are lending the same loving support to Baby Vie and our customers that they have shared with us over the years. We are all excited to celebrate your new baby and your transition into "baby life" with you!"

Last month we kicked off our Puppy Love contest and it was a huge success! We had over 30 contestants and hundreds of votes! As a matter of fact, today March 17th is the last day to vote.
