Born to be a Mom...

Dedicated. Passionate. Strong. Nurturing. Calm. SUPERMOM.

These are all words that describe my sister. She was absolutely born to be a mom and an amazing one at that. With a 7 year old, 5 year old, 2 year old and now a newborn, she is truly a woman I highly admire and look up to. My baby sister...now with 4 sons of her own...boy, she sure has grown up and made all of us who know her so very proud of her.

And by the way, isn't she a stunner?? Definitely one hot mama!

And three is a charm....

About a month ago I did a maternity session for this beautiful family at the beach. You can see that session HERE. Katherine Elisabeth arrived just a couple of short weeks later.  I had the pleasure of photographing the family at their home just days after their arrival from the hospital. Big brother Jack and big sister Maggie were just the sweetest with her. And little Katie...well, words can't describe how adorable she is! Congratulations to the entire family!

A Western Shoreline Maternity Session...

I was thrilled to photograph this family. Mommy is expecting her third baby and had outdoor maternity sessions with the first two children. But being that they lived in other states, the locations had never been at the beach. The family recently moved to San Diego and what better spot that the western shoreline for this session! Big brother and sister were just too cute...

I will be capturing some tender newborn moments within the first few days of her life. I can't wait!  

Sweet Anticipation...

I must say this is one of the rewards of doing what I do. I was there to document the day they became husband and wife and now I get to witness their lives progress and their family grow. I am looking forward to capturing the special newborn moments once little Bryce arrives!

It's a New World...

You may remember the Maternity Session we did on the beach for this beautiful family. I must say this newborn baby boy is one of the most adorable babies ever! He was so calm and content (of course with a few feedings in between). When he wasn't sleeping he was just very observant of everything going on around him! And when his older sister came and gave him a kiss on the head...well, that just melted my heart. There is nothing sweeter than watching the love between siblings...

Mermaid Dreams...

There is something incredibly magical about expecting... the excitement of beginning a new journey, the anticipation of seeing her precious little face and holding her tiny hands, the pureness and beauty of motherhood....

This mommy-to-be was absolutely radiant! It's just a matter of days now before her life takes on a new purpose, a new role...so excited for you...

***UPDATE*** The precious little princess arrived this past Friday...Congratulations! Looking forward to meeting her soon... :)

One plus Two Equals So much LOVE...

A couple of years ago I did a maternity session for my cousin who was expecting for the very first time. A few months later I photographed Alastair at only 5 days old. Recently my cousin called and told me they were expecting for the second time. We were all thrilled and I was already making plans for the second maternity session...and then she knocked me off my feet with the news..."twins!" The excitement and the anticipation was immense. Alastair was to become the older brother of two little baby boys at only 23 months old. Boy (no pun intended) were they going to have their hands full~ But the best thing is that along with full hands comes a house full of love...

And yes, can you believe she is carrying 2 babies in that precious belly? Doesn't she look fantastic!?!

Congratulations to a beautiful family. I can't wait to photograph those adorable newborn twin boys!

Seaside Splendor...

I must start by saying that this mama is just days from welcoming the newest member of their family. Doesn't she look downright spectacular? From the moment we arrived at our location, all I had to do was pretty much photograph away and capture these special moments on camera. And as you can tell by the unusually high number of images in this post, there was no shortage of them!

Big brother and big sister were so happy and carefree as they danced around the shore. The holding of hands, the hugs and the caressing of the belly were all natural interactions between them that showcased the special bond shared by this family. The session was complete with a gorgeous sunset and even a couple of seals frolicking in the waves. I honestly could not ask for much more as a photographer. Congratulations to this marvelous family...looking forward to photographing the tiny bundle of joy soon!
